Valle de Guadalupe

Wine Tasting Private Tour

Enjoy a private all-inclusive wine tasting tour (9 am to 7:30 pm) to Valle de Guadalupe.

In the morning, you’ll be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border in a private luxury van (Groups over 8 may have to walk across the border). The air-conditioned van seats 6-14 passengers with reclining seats and plenty of legroom. For those who prefer privacy, the only people you need to communicate with is your party and tour guide.

Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic Route towards Ensenada. Stop over at El Mirador for a view of the bay. During whale season, you may spot a few whales in the water.  Baja whale watching is a favorite activity and, if needed, we can stop for a closer view or bathroom break. Once in beautiful Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into the Baja wine country. By 11 am, you’ll be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!

The private wine tour includes visit to three boutique wineries with complimentary wine tastings. In between enjoying wine, you explore the winemaking process through a guided wine tour.  We will also stop for lunch at the highly-reviewed Finca Altozano. Chef Javier Plascencia will prepare a five-course set menu of organic BajaMed dishes.

Due to new transportation regulations by the Mexican government, U.S. tour companies may not be able to cross the border with certain U.S. transports, therefore in some cases you will have to meet your guide at the border and cross on foot with your guide and board the transport once in Tijuana. Groups with 4-7 guests will still be picked up in San Diego and be driven across the border. (Last revision 8/7/21).
