This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Tour Itinerary:
9:00 am
Pick up from San Diego (location to be determined by customer).
10:00 am
Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.
10:30 am
Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!
2:30 pm
Lunch outdoors (on the grill with organic vegetables) while enjoying an equestrian show.
4:00 pm
Time to do some tastings of mezcal and tequila from Jalisco and craft beer from the region.

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

This was one of the best days I have had in a long time! Went to San Diego for a girls trip which included a wine tasting day trip to Valle de Guadalupe. Mario picked us up from our hotel in the morning and drove us across the border where we switched to the Mercedes Sprinter van. From there we drove to wine country. Mario was incredibly considerate, checking with us along the way and was happy to stop for bathroom breaks and/or snacks as needed. The wine tasting experience was incredible. We went to 3 wineries, with an incredible 5 course meal between the 2nd and 3rd. Wine was great, food was amazing, tour was incredible. Mario took pics for us along the way and then sent us all a link the next morning. Can't wait to come back!

We had the best experience with Baja California Wine Tours. We hosted a wine tour in Valle De Guadalupe for about 20 people and we received so many compliments of what a wonderful time our guests had! Casa Frida is a must experience (very insta-worthy) and the lunch at Finca Altozano was hands-down one of the best meal experiences of our lives. We left all planning up to Mario as we had no previous knowledge of the Valle and its wineries, restaurants, etc. and we could not have been happier with our itinerary. 5 STARS.

Ensenada day trip
We took a day trip to Ensenada for my son’s birthday. Mario was great, very friendly and professional. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend using Baja California Wine Tours.

Excellent day out in TJ
Mario picked us up from our hotel in Downtown, and took us all across the Mexican border. We had an amazing and interesting day out. Very well organised and Mario is a fountain of information about TJ. We stopped off for craft beer sampling and also authentic tacos! We saw the end of the wall at the beach and visited the museum to learn some more about the history of Mexico. Would highly recommend.

BEST wine tour experience!!!
Mario led an exceptional tour for our group of friends for a bachelorette party. This is the second company I’ve used for this type of tour and this was 100 times better. Everything from giving us the history of what we were seeing and telling us interesting facts, to finding the best seats in the house at each location, complete with making us feel safe and comfortable from the second we met him until we got dropped off back at home. I could not recommend Mario, his team and the entire experience/company any more! Everyone in my party was completely satisfied.
