Wine Tasting Private Tour
This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.
10:30 am
Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

Amazing day trip

Mario was the ultimate host and made sure we felt comfortable, we’re having fun, and really got to experience the wine and food of the valley. He provided us with interesting facts along the ride as well. The wineries we went to were unique in their own way all hand picked by Mario himself.

Fabulous trip to MX wine country!
Absolutely fantastic. I wanted to visit a special winery (Bichi) and Mario took care of everything. We spent a delightful time with the winemaker and visited the vineyards. And some extras like wonderful pastries and tacos in Tecate. Marion was a delightful host. Couldn't ask for better.

AMAZING DAY
Seven of us went for a 70th birthday celebration yesterday.
The ride down gave us an opportunity to get a good feel of being in Mexico as we drove down the beautiful coastline from San Diego to the Guadalupe Valley. He encouraged conversation and questions along the way. His choices of wineries were excellent and exactly what we were looking for. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and worldly.
At the end of the tour we all walked away with a lot, I would definitely do this tour again as we had the most fantastic day. I have already and certainly will strongly recommend Mario to my all my family and friends.

Wonder experience in Guadalupe Valley
Mario made us feel really comfortable from the very first moment we met him. He drove well and was happy to give us information we requested all along our route of travel. Mario also allowed us to have our own conversations amongst ourselves without getting involved as he focused on the road. His choice of wineries to visit and lunch venue were likewise excellent.
All 7 of us would unequivocally choose him again when we decide to make another visit to the Guadalupe Valley.

Fabulous Trip of Baja Wine Country!!!
The tour with Mario as our guide was excellent, very informative and super fun! Mario is so knowledgeable about so many subjects. He was so patience, so engaging, punctual as well as accommodating and super great with small details. One of my favorite things was that he took such great photos of our trip! This way we could truly be in the moment and enjoy the experience instead of constantly focusing on taking pictures. I will be taking other trips offered by Baja California Wine Tours.

Great trip to baja with family!
I just want to say thank you to Mario booking us a great trip and Rene for an “excellent” tour ...I want to extend a recommendation to anyone who is looking to take the family on an adventure! My teenage kids loved it too and that is difficult;). Rene recommended a stop for some four wheelers on sand dunes and some music at the beach hot spots! Took us to revolution avenue to where the Cesar Salad was invented and by the studios where Titanic was filmed. …Excellent service and great and safe day in beautiful Mexico!

Great tour of a well regarded wine region
We chose this tour because of the convenience of being driven across the US/Mexican border from a central San Diego location. We found it to be one of the best planned tours we've ever had anywhere! The tour was well paced with each of the wineries offering a unique experience. We had multiple tastings at each and had a tour of a beautiful cellar where we learned about wine making. Lunch was the highlight of the day. On most tours anywhere, the meals are good but more of a practical consideration. This lunch was high-end, extremely well prepared, tasty and served in a beautiful farm setting.
