This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.

Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Mario is the best of the best
Mario is an expert on the Guadalupe Valley wineries, an excellent tour guide.
I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about Mexican wines and surrounding areas. Do not look anywhere else. this is the wine tour to book.

Mario, owner & operator of Baja California Wine Tours, is a joy to work with! Due to Covid, we were unable to be in person with our son and his bride on the actual May 2021 day that they got married. We finally celebrated our son’s wedding in Valle de Guadalupe November 2021. Mario proved to be an excellent choice to guide us and help us put together our personalized, custom itinerary for this special occasion. Our family and special friends’ wedding celebration was an intimate group of 12. It was a foodie and wine wedding celebration to match the groom and bride’s love for these. Mario was terrific with recommendations, logistics and made our trip a memory that we will all treasure! Mario drove us from San Diego to Valle de Guadalupe with stops in La Bufadora and Ensenada. He also arranged for our dinner and wine tasting reservations throughout the entirety of our Valle trip. He made it easy; fun to relax and enjoy socializing in his van! Mario also added special touches throughout that created extra memories. Mario kept in constant contact to ensure that things were going smoothly. Mario is extremely knowledgeable of the history of the Baja region and also has inside “scoop” regarding local businesses and residents. He toured us every day except for the one day we chose to tour via ATV’s. Mario brought us back to San Diego via Tecate which gave us a different view of Baja and helped us minimize the potentially long wait of a Sunday border crossing. Finally, not only is Mario an excellent and efficient organizer, superb tour guide and story teller but, in addition, is a great photographer who topped our trip by providing us wonderful photos of our group during our various experiences!! The photos are great memories that we will treasure and allow us to relive our wonderful trip! Muchas gracias Mario!! We highly recommend using Mario & Baja California Wine Tours!! We look forward to taking another trip with him since he offers many destinations in addition to Valle de Guadalupe.

Excellent
We all enjoyed our trip to Tijuana. Mario was very accommodating and very reliable. Right from the start, he has answered all our questions and inquiries about the trip. During the Day trip, he has provided us enough information about Tijuana! He was also very punctual, he was on the meeting point earlier as scheduled. He has a pleasant personality, that makes the trip more fun. We would do it again with him if given the chance to do a Mexico trip in the future.

Perfect wine tasting tour!
Our experience in the Guadalupe Valley was absolutely incredible. The Valley was beautiful and each vineyard we visited was really excellent. Everything went smoothly due to our amazing guide Mario, who truly takes great care to make sure his guests have a relaxing and enjoyable day. We would not have had the same fun and educational trip without him! I highly recommend Mario’s wine tasting tour, or any of his tours!

Amazing day in Valle
Wow, this tour was amazing! I booked a public tour to Valle de Guadalupe on a Saturday, and was amazed at how smooth the day went and how many beautiful wineries we visited. Mario was very knowledgeable and friendly. We met in San Ysidro and were initially going to cross by foot, but because 2 people cancelled we were able to cross in Mario's private van, then switched cars to the Mercedez van once we were in TJ. We had an itinerary of visiting 2 wineries (Montefiori and Baron Balche) then lunch (Finca Altozano) followed by our last winery stop (Viña de Liceaga). Everything was great at each stop, and the lunch was delicious. Mario told the waiter there it was my birthday, and they brought me out a little dessert, which was delicious as well. The roads to Valle were taken through the toll road, which is much safer and faster than the regular road there, so this was definitely a plus. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Valle!

Fun Day!
This was such a fun tour. We were picked up in our party bus at our hotel (make sure you got some road sodas in the party bus). Mario took us to Montefiori, Bruma, and Decantos. I requested those vineyard with Mario since I never visited them. Mario was great. His customer service is unmatched. Our lunch at Finca was solid as well. Overall had a great time and made new memories from this. It is so convienant to go with Mario. They provide the transport, the admission, and they drop you off in front of the vineyard. No worries about parking, driving, eating, paying. Just show up and Mario takes care of the rest. You won't go wrong booking with Mario.

Amazing Experience!
My fiancée and I loved our tour guide Mario! He was full of information and tons of history about the wine industry! Then the tasting of different wines and exquisite cuisines had us smitten along with the views of the different vineyards. The politeness and hospitality of Mario had us relaxed and we enjoyed every moment! My Fiancée has been bragging about the experience to her Family and Friends ever since we left. Definitely will come back to check out the other vineyards and activities very soon! I’d recommend this to anyone!

Perfect stress free experience
Purchased this trip as a gift for my boss and it was a big hit. My favorite part was how easy everything was. Mario (our guide) had everything all lined up including an amazing lunch.
