Wine Tasting Private Tour
This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Pick up from San Diego (location to be determined by customer).
10:00 am
Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.
10:30 am
Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!
2:30 pm
Lunch outdoors (on the grill with organic vegetables) while enjoying an equestrian show.
4:00 pm
Time to do some tastings of mezcal and tequila from Jalisco and craft beer from the region.

Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

Freaking amazing!
From start to finish, this tour did not disappoint. Beautiful wineries, delicious wines, breathtaking views, and food…outstanding!
Renee was our driver, and he was an absolute gem! Super funny, accommodating, and nice.
Would highly recommend this and will be using them in the future, with Renee as our driver!

A beautiful memorable day
A truly beautiful day of sights, wine, food and fascinating facts shared by our thoughtful guide. He was punctual, knowledgeable and flexible. The wine was excellent and the food amazing. He shared useful tips and restaurant recommendations for the rest our Baja adventure. The restaurant he recommended (and reserved for us) for our dinner after our day with him was out of this world! I highly recommend Mario’s tours.

Excellent Day in Beautiful Mexico!!
We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with Rene, our driver, and Mario, the owner of the tour company. Both gentlemen did everything they could to make our tour enjoyable. We visited three wineries and a restaurant—all had gorgeous views of the vineyards and the best of what Mexico had to offer. All locations were 100% safe and instead of waiting in a four hour line to get back into the U.S., we were treated to fast pass access and safely returned to our original meeting location, with our driver being so kind as to remain with one of our party until her ride showed up. I can’t wait to schedule our next tour with these gentlemen!

Wow... what an amazing Guadelupe Valley Wine Tour with Baja California Wine Tours!!
The care and focus on making your day, the best day ever in Mexican Wine Country was in a class of its own.
Mario and Rene were wonderful Tour Guides, focused on every minute of the tour with the greatest care and concern for your safety, comfort and enjoyment.
The choice of Wineries is excellent; each Winery offering delicious red, white, and rose wines and charcuterie boards that didn't disappoint.
I went on the Public Tour and had too much fun with a combination of Wine Enthusiasts and Party-Goers, and highly recommend jumping aboard a Public Tour, if you can't pull together a private group.
I'm an advocate of Baja California Wine Tours and I'm already busy planning a public tour and private tour with friends.

Amazing winery tour
It was an amazing trip. Mario is very nice and devoted in his business. The lunch was perfect and the wineries were all incredible. It’s the perfect day trip to do with friends or family!

Amazing whale watching tour!
As a returning customer of Baja California Wine Tours, we were very pleased once again with the amazing service that Mario and his company provided for us this time around. We hired Mario for a trip to Guerrero Negro to go see the gray whales migration to the “liebre lagoon “ and to see the natural sand dunes and salt banks in the region of Guerrero Negro! It was an incredible experience to be able to see and pet the whales. I never imagined how friendly this beautiful giants are. We also went to a natural reserve where the Berrendos deer are protected. The whole four day trip was well organized and put together by Mario. Great accommodations and delicious restaurants. I highly recommend Mario and his company for any tour into Mexico.

Wonderful tour of the Valle de Guadalupe wine region.
We had a wonderful experience on our wine tour in the Valle de Guadalupe. The scenery was spectacular, the wines delicious and the driver very nice and accommodating. The wine pours were generous at the three wineries that we visited. We had a delicious lunch at the farm to table restaurant where our guide, Rene brought us. Our driver was able to bypass a very long line crossing the border coming back into the US and we crossed it in half an hour instead of three hours that was expected. This is a great way to experience this beautiful wine region of Mexico. You can relax and not worry about the drive or border crossing.

Fun day trip!
Very easy and fun trip! We got picked up at our home and driven to 3 wineries and 1 restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe. Our guide was very knowledgeable, funny and a great driver. Definitely recommend.
